Kalundborg is located in the west on the Danish Island, Sea Land (Sjælland), with a population of ca. 16.000. The town is well known for its ancient past and ust taking a walk in and around the town, will lead to several relics in form of ancient memories and different wars.Kalundborg is a modern and friendly ancient market town, offering something for all tastes. The town and its surrounding have a selection of parks, green areas and beaches, and amongst these, some places, memories and ruins from the ancient times can be spotted.

The area also contains a wide range of museums and galleries, from Bispegaarden, which have the more than 600 years old, council hall, restaurant and changing art exhibitions and Summerland Sjælland, which is a theme park for the whole family and offers a great day out, to Kalundborg MuseumGarden, where you can find more than 37 different kinds of ancient doctor -, spices-, kitchen-, colour and poison plants.
